This play about perfection, legacy and work was a real challenge for us as we created not only a musical score that was cued to match each actor's actions, but also took on the role of the food. In May's conception the food in the kitchen was mimed with great precision, and accompanied with a sound for each action taken by the actor. Each swish of rice being rinsed, fish being prepared had a sound cue and was carefully sourced to speakers hidden in the set. We are quite proud of this one, and won a Craig Noel award for the sound design.
